WHAT Experience the difference of our personalized approach to an obedience course. Proving owners with tailored one on one training in a group environment for all skill levels. This class provides an opportunity to teach your dog foundational skills for being successful on the trail or in the home. We focus on training an off leash heel, engagement, impulse control when being greeted and an emergency sit/down. Each student receives personalized instruction tailored to their dog's skill level, accompanied by customized advice to help you reach your training goals. Advanced students will benefit from off-leash work with exercises fine-tuned to their level and beginner students will benefit from on-leash exercises specific to their skill level. WHERE Westshore area - TBD - SAFETY The goal is to keep every person and dog safe, so maintaining distance between dog and handler teams is crucial, unless otherwise instructed. On sidewalks and roads dogs need to be “up short but slack on the leash”. Handlers need to wear comfortable foot wear and weather appropriate clothing. Please be mindful of how and when you use rewards (not in proximity to other dogs). PLEASE NOTE: Owners and their dogs are participating at their own risk. DON"T FEEL EMBARRASSED We are all in this together, as a group we are here to encourage and support each other and all of the dogs. No one should feel embarrassed if their dog acts out and is reactive, our purpose is to help them learn new ways of coping and alternate behaviours.
Cancellation Policy
Focus K9 Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy At Focus K9, we strive to offer flexibility while ensuring the best possible training experience for all clients. Please review our cancellation and rescheduling policy to avoid unnecessary charges. Cancellations & Rescheduling: Full Refund: Adjustments can be made at least 7 days prior to the course start date are eligible for a full refund. No Refund: Adjustments made less than 7 days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund. Rescheduling: Before Course Start: You may request to reschedule to a later course up to 7 days before the original course start date, subject to availability. After Course Start: Once a course has begun, rescheduling is not permitted. However, you may be able to make up missed sessions depending on availability within future group courses. No-Show & Missed Sessions: Unfortunately, due to the structure of our group courses, we cannot offer make-up sessions, refunds or credits for individually missed classes. However, if a participant misses a class, we’ll do our best to provide notes or materials from the missed session so you can stay up to date with the rest of the course. Emergencies are dealt with on a case by case basis and may be eligible for a credit.
