WHAT This 50-minute drop-in socialization class is designed for dogs that struggle with settling and impulse control during greeting other people (not dogs). Whether your dog is nervous or excitable our classes are designed to ensure every temperament is set up for success. We also teach the owners how to interact appropriately with unfamiliar dogs of various temperaments, ensuring you and your dog are well-prepared for any social situation. Perfect for both beginners and experts. Polite Greetings is tailored to your dogs skill level offering beginner, intermediate and advanced variations of each exercise. To ensure a safe learning environment, it's important to maintain a respectful distance between your dog and other handler teams, unless otherwise directed by the instructor. Dogs with a history of aggression, nipping, or mouthing must be muzzle-trained, and owners are required to bring the muzzle to each class or participation will not be allowed. Handlers should wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. When using rewards, please do so away from other dogs to avoid distractions. **Please Note:** Owners and their dogs participate in these classes at their own risk. DON"T FEEL EMBARRASSED We are all in this together, as a group we are here to encourage and support each other and all of the dogs. No one should feel embarrassed if their dog acts out and is reactive, our purpose is to help them learn new ways of coping and alternate behaviours.
