WHAT Our Foundational Manners Group course provides the perfect continuation of training or a good starting place for your new puppy. More than just your average puppy manners class, we don't just focus on simple sits, we cover foundations for teaching your dog how to settle, be successful off leash, politely walk on leash and more, through exercises and activities. Ensuring your dog will be successful is important to us. All of our excises can be tailored to your dogs skill level for that appropriate challenge level. Arrive early and ask our trainer about any problem behaviours you are experiencing like jumping, nipping or barking. Our goal is to put you on the path of becoming a responsible puppy owner while educating you how to seamlessly transition into your lifestyle. GOOD FOR - All training stages, breeds and temperaments - Puppies new to training - Puppies who have previously completed training **Please note** This class is not designed if your dog struggles with chronic reactivity, fear or aggression - please explore our Calm & Confident course FEATURES - 5 week course - Personal & tailored instruction - Polite walking foundations - Patience & Settle foundations - Off leash foundations - Impulse control foundations - Structured Socialization - Engagement & focus skill training - Problem Behaviour training (jumping, nipping, etc.) BOOKING - Book online - 5 session commitment required WHERE Westshore - TBD - WHEN Closed for the season - We offer this course during the spring and summer month's a few times a year - join our waiting list! SAFETY The goal is to keep every person and dog safe, so maintaining distance between dog and handler teams is crucial, unless otherwise instructed. Handlers need to wear comfortable foot wear and weather appropriate clothing. Please be mindful of how and when you use rewards (not in proximity to other dogs). Owners and their dogs are participating at their own risk. DON"T FEEL EMBARRASSED We are all in this together, as a group we are here to encourage and support each other and all of the dogs. No one should feel embarrassed if their dog acts out and is reactive, our purpose is to help them learn new ways of coping and alternate behaviors.
